To kick off the holiday season of music, Pandora Live teamed up with singers Brandy and Summer Walker and held a virtual concert as a part of their Pandora Sounds of Soul series. On Tuesday, December 1st, the virtual show took place and was the first of several concerts lined up with the month’s platform. The virtual event was free, and at the end of the show, patrons that RSVP’d for their space to view the event were gifted with a Pandora Live T-Shirt featuring Brandy’s image from her latest album project B7 and a gift from Vaseline, who was one of the night’s sponsors.

The approximately 50-minute event was packed with interviews, animation, and of course, songs. Summer Walker opened up for the singer with a few of her mixtape and album cuts. Afterward, fans were invited to walk down memory lane for a while before enjoying current tunes from singer Brandy as she performed as the main act. The re-airing of the special is set to take place on Sirius XM later in the month. As a concert enthusiast and lover of live shows and performances, I am happy that artists and companies are still finding ways to merge the platforms together during this current health crisis.

My daughter, who is now a Brandy fan because of me, also got the opportunity to check out the show. It was an enjoyable experience that I am happy that I got the chance to capture. Although world operations have shifted, music and the artists behind the music have found avenues to continue to inspire and uplift, which is forever invaluable. Hopefully, soon we will all be able to assemble again to experience the wonder and vibes live. But until then, Pandora Live has definitely stepped in as an excellent substitution.
